"Charles Keats" is a short film in collaboration with WeeBeastie Productions. A child uses maps to feel in control of his life from the constant pressure of school bullies. His life changes when he meets a young girl and her fantastical gnome creatures. The design focused on his map filled bedroom, the cartographer elements he carries with him, a dressed local elementary school and custom-made gnomes.

Film set still panaromic of the room. Everything detail communicated the boy's journey.
The space was originally an adult country themed guest room in a Long Island house.
Map fabric, tools, and children's objects, filled the room of the precocious little boy.
Maps were bought and created and covered every wall of the room. Drawings and details of flags were added for a personal touch.
The library was the little boys safe haven. He created a little world of his possessions.
Once the location was found based on the color, the greens/blues of desks and props enhance the world/map feel.
The little girl's precious gnomes were designed and created out of sculpty clay and painted. Sparkling gems were added for eyes.
